Weekly Notices - 4 May 2025

Dear fellow pilgrims on the journey.

It’s actually quite hard to think of what to write for you.

So, let me know what you want or need from me in this handy sheet please.

It might be you'd like to ask a question about a seemingly complicated passage  in one of t he Gospels?

Or maybe you'd like to know more about what we are doing in West Africa?

Actually one of the congregations has taken the initiative of booking us to tell all later this month..

However the challenge is to take an initiative to call your congregation to respond to God's call for repentance, that surely needs to be an obvious priority.

We need to change what we do so routinely in our churches; its failure is very obvious when we look around.

Only God can change us from the inside out, so that we can help others to meet Jesus just as we did.

God is waiting

Do we love Him

Lovers listen....

We can do this!

In His grip

Patrick will advise the readers of their readings during the week they are reading.

The following below is well worth browsing:

This website is easy to read and the video clip is excellent too.

Today’s service

Sentence: Jesus showed himself to his disciples and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. Alleluia! (Acts 1:3) [NZPB, p. 594]

Prayer of the Day: Let us your people always exult, O God, that we who celebrate our adoption with renewed joy, may look forward with hope to our full share in the resurrection;  through Jesus Christ, who is alive with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Prayer for Leading Your Church into Growth

God of mission, who alone brings growth to your Church, send your Holy Spirit to give vision to our planning, wisdom to our actions, joy to our worship, and power to our witness.  Help our parish churches to grow in numbers, in spiritual commitment to you, and in service to our local community.  Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
