Weekly Notices - 27 April 2025
Hi everyone :)
Lets fight to save our neighbours.
Fight against busyness, self consciousness, fear of offending and our hearts actually being self-first (selfish).
You know that you know that Jesus is who he says he is.
Did you know we can redesign our Sunday morning worship services?
As long as we have Holy Communion in one parish church each Sunday, we can do other equally heartfelt worship if we want to. For eg only: Have a favourite Hymns Sunday or Guest preacher OR have an open microphone OR testimony times OR music provided worship OR share our favourite scriptures OR bring difficult to understand scriptures to get answers for OR... or...the list is endless.
Each congregation can design things differently for 3 of our services each month.
You see, I agree with many of you that we have drifted into "parroting" many of our written responses during our worship. I have a duty to the One I love, and to you, to change up our worship in ways that you think might make it more joy filled.
We should leave our churches on Sundays feeling full of Jesus's love, satisfied that we gave him ours with all our hearts, minds and souls. And if we come with a heavy burden, leave feeling we have had it lifted off by him.
So, please give it some real thought and let's talk about it and see which fresh ways we can show Jesus we really really do love him and want to really show him especially on Sundays.

Today’s service
Sentence: Alleluia! The Lord is risen indeed. To him be the glory and dominion for ever and ever. Alleluia! (Luke 24:34; Revelation 1:6) [NZPB, 592].
Prayer of the Day: O God, you make this most holy night/day to shine with the glory of the risen Christ; stir up in your Church a spirit of adoption, so that, renewed in mind and body, we may dedicate our lives wholeheartedly to your service; through Jesus Christ, who is alive with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Readings: Acts 5:27-32 & John 20:19-31

Prayer for Leading Your Church into Growth
God of mission, who alone brings growth to your Church, send your Holy Spirit to give vision to our planning, wisdom to our actions, joy to our worship, and power to our witness. Help our parish churches to grow in numbers, in spiritual commitment to you, and in service to our local community. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
