From the minister

Our Reconciliation Ministry

Avoid playing ping pong with your neighbour :)

When you ASK them a question about what they believe?  Show you are listening carefully by agreeing with something they say, even if it’s to Admire their forthrightness in calling matters of faith "all rubbish".

Keep avoiding the huge temptation to bat something back at them. IF you truly want to care about them and want to introduce them to the person of Jesus, Admit something about your relationship with Jesus.  No-one can easily ignore your own witness statement.

Aim to enjoy their company however short this opportunity is, so that you leave them wearing a smile inside. Earn the right to ask them Jesus questions?  Avoid preaching and for heaven's sake, watch and respond wisely to their body language.

Whatever you do, go out having sincerely and reverently asked Jesus for an opportunity to tell about Him and EXPECT Him to take you seriously IF you are serious.

Our Aim...?

To be so loving that we attract people to the one who is Love himself.

 Love you lot, Patrick

Today’s Sentence and Prayer

Sentence: If you offer your food to the hungry then your light shall rise in the darkness (Isaiah 58:10 adapted).

Prayer of the Day: O God, you inspire the hearts of the faithful with a single longing; grant your people to love what you command and to desire what you promise, so that in all the changes and chances of this uncertain world, our hearts may surely there be fixed where true joys are to be found; through Jesus Christ, who is alive with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Readings: Sirach 39:1-10 and John 1:45-end

Amen
